Computer Crashed
My poor laptop--first I drop it and shatter the screen, and now I overloaded the memory and made Windows crash! We found a way around the shattered screen by using an old desktop monitor. This time, the only way to get Windows back up was to reinstall it--thus wiping out everything in the hard drive. I should have seen this coming--it kept giving me messages that the memory was full and it was acting very sluggish lately. Programs would close before I was finished because there wasn't enough memory. I guess if I think of a computer hard drive as a brain, I can begin to understand it better. When I feel mental overload, I just want to shut down, too! I can't think of too many things at once--when I feel the pressure, I just need to escape and get my mind clear. I guess this is essentially what happened to my computer. It felt the pressure of memory overload and needed to "clear its mind" and start fresh. Luckily I had everything backed up--I don't think I lost anything that cannot be replaced. Still, it is a bit frustrating to have to start over. Oh well--memory overload + memory dump = fresh start!
