That's Hot

My daughter enjoyed wearing some of her new clothes this week. While she didn't have a shirt that said these words, she did get compliments on her clothes. A common compliment these days usually includes the word "hot"--"That shirt is hot," "You look hot," "That is SO hot"--yeah, thanks P.H. I won't discuss my opinions on that right now--just wish it wasn't filtering down into real life with my teens. As long as using the word "hot" is ALL that filters down, maybe it isn't so bad. But if OTHER things and bad behaviors begin to surface, that is another story. For now--my daughter wants to look "hot"--as long as she is keeping everything covered and decent, I guess that is okay with me. To me, then it just means "pretty"--there will be no major revealing done to achieve that, though. Even if "you got it" you certainly don't have to "flaunt it"--THAT is the key to looking good without looking cheap. OMG--I cannot believe the tiny little miniskirts and shorts on the racks these days--we will NOT be buying that crap! My daughter will be wearing decent clothes--enough with the hot pants crap, people--it is SO out! Bring back decent lengths--don't have to be to the knees, but way past the rear end area is a must! It is NOT "hot" to "let it all hang out"--especially not for young teens! Anyway--my daughter has some cute clothes--she feels "hot"--and she is NOT "flaunting it" or "letting it all hang out"--all is well!
